Dressing the Look
The Spring brings a more relaxed approach to the home. Formal or fine dining in particular has become a bit passé and most of us like to eat in the same room as we cook and relax; a shared space away from cellular living. True to Nielsen style we like to combine texture, tone and sculpture and this scheme shows you monochrome is acceptable! Especially when you layer it!
We particularly love to see the bold geometric shiny finish of the fabby clock in contrast with the neutral oak table, soft grey limestone, clay vessels and wicker furniture. You can create warmth by combining tactile chenilles, linen and fur on upholstery. Flowing window treatments also work with textured wall coverings and stone floors.
Inside or outside, the dining space can be versatile…. As long as we have the weather for it?
TIP: We would team up this scheme with Farrow and Ball Skimming Stone paintwork but don’t forget we need never be devoid of colour! Be brave, this neutral scheme is flexible and throwing in warm tomato red, French navy, chocolate brown or limes and mustards works beautifully. See our gorgeous qlocktwo in vanilla sugar which is also available in various colours.
