Nielsen House creator and director, Sarah has a whole world of understanding in good design having made her mark in numerous cities around the globe prior to settling in the stunning Lake District.
Following her Fine Art and Design Degree, Sarah began her professional career in Edinburgh, designing brasserie cafes and bars. This success led her to join southern Knightsbridge firm of architects, Michael Lyell Associates, as a project designer for interior restoration.
After 10 years Sarah had gained a wealth of international interior design and project management experience. Her established, signature style can be seen in London, Moscow, Paris, Saudi Arabia and particularly the new build developments of villas, exclusive bars, restaurants, and hotel suites in the Middle East, most notably Dubai.
Since returning to the UK and setting up a home in the Lake District, Sarah won a place amongst the top contenders for Channel 5’s ‘I own Britain's Best Home 2008’ and has gone on to restore and renovate many traditional Lakeland properties.
