Lakeland Landscape

A neutral, grey foundation creates a calm second home with each room brought to life with the colours of the landscape that surrounds it; earthy greens, blues and oranges, highlighted by striking metallics. Distinctive coloured glass and dramatic feature lighting delivers the perfect finishing touch to this property which boasts 360-degree views of the lake and fells.

We aimed to craft a space that oozed relaxation and comfort while celebrating the lively nature of the outdoors. This retreat, ideal for weekends away, features natural wood tones heavily inspired by the Lake District, layered throughout with a variety of textures that replicate those found in nature. Each piece of furniture is unique, just like trees outside.

We began with a mix of neutral greys and introduced the colours of the landscape that surrounds the apartment. Woven cushions and Scandinavian accents create a subtle natural environment, and carefully selected textiles, furniture, art and decor allowed us to incorporate a mix of colours and textures within each room.

Throughout the space, we used subtle textured wallpapers to make each room feel warmer. Grey and cream tones allow light into the space while emphasising the art and decor. To prevent the furniture from becoming washed out against the wallpaper, we selected a range of feature piece made from natural wood to maintain a calm but stylish atmosphere.
