Nielsen House awards shortlisting’s

Earlier this month, the design world gathered at the iconic Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London for the prestigious International Design & Architecture Awards 2025. The evening brought together some of the most creative minds and visionary projects from across the globe, celebrating innovation, craftsmanship, and design excellence at the very highest level.

Nielsen House would like to extend our warmest congratulations to this year’s winners, whose projects truly embody the spirit of contemporary international design and continue to set inspiring benchmarks within the industry.

Although we were not among the winners this year, we are equally delighted to have once again been recognised for our place in the global design world. Our journey has been enriched by winning projects that continue to define our creative ethos – from Lakeland private residences to the unique boutique hotel suites and bespoke restaurants such as Gilpin Spice created in collaboration with the Gilpin Hotel, Lake House & Spa. These works have not only been a source of pride for our team but have also been enjoyed and celebrated by clients and guests over the past years of our involvement with the awards.

Being part of such a respected international platform reminds us that design is a collective celebration – a chance to share ideas, inspire one another, and highlight the incredible diversity of projects shaping the built environment today.

This year, two projects very close to our hearts were celebrated:

  • High Wray Bank, a graceful Lakeland villa acknowledged within the category of Regeneration and Restoration, representing nearly four years of considered architectural and interior detailing to recreate, remodel, and extend a home of such period stature.
  • Our luxury lakeside residence, selected for both the UK and Global Luxury Residence Award, recognised for its richness, unique layering, and depth of design detailing.

These projects exemplify the values we hold dear at Nielsen House: luxury residential design, regeneration and restoration, and luxury sustainable interior design. We believe in creating projects that not only stand the test of time but also provide every client with enduring joy and a true sense of value and worth in their investment.

To continue to endorse the standards of interior design expected by our clients, it is important for us to remain engaged with such a rewarding and inspiring design and architecture community. We cannot always manage this every year, but when we do, it is a privilege and an experience we cherish.

As the design world evolves, so too do we – with open hearts to the ever-shifting future, ready to embrace the next stage of our journey.
